Chibis for Japan - A Red Cross Event

As everyone is aware of, the 8.9 earthquake that has hit Japan has been the start of a great amount of destruction and devastation to friends, families, and strangers alike. As a solitary person, we alone cannot do much in the face of an absolute natural disaster, but as fellow human beings, we can find it in ourselves to give even the little we can spare to those in greater need. As Americans, we feel everyday, the crunch and stress of financial woes. But when it comes to weight the fact of the matter of money and human lives, the choice is relatively simple. The American Red Cross is accepting donations to help in aiding the various Japanese foundations in anyway they can, be it from buying one more blanket to help keep warm a newly homeless child, to providing clean food, water, and clothing to an entire family who no longer has a place to call home. A donation doesn't have to be much. $10? $20? $50? $100? The amount is no the point, what matters it that you've found it in yourself to extend just a little part of what material gains you have, to help a stranger somewhere you may possibly never meet, to help them strive to look forward to another day.

And we are aiming to give what little we can to those who help. Like you, we too have offered what we could to the American Red Cross without expecting anything in return. For you, we wish to offer our services as artists, to give you a sort of reward. For anyone who chooses to donate to help the American Red Cross, those of us gathered artists would like to offer customized Chibi's as a token of thanks for your selfless act of kindness.







How to Donate

Donations can be made through the American Red Cross website located at:  www.redcross.org

As you can see, there are various was to donate tot he Red Cross to help people in need all over the world. For the next two weeks, we re striving to help the cause for the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund.

Once an electronic donation is made, the Red Cross will send you a letter of thanks to your selected email. All we require is a screenshot as a proof of your donations (if you wouldn't mind blocking out your personal information and leaving the amount donated available.)

Then PM your screenshot along with the description or link of the chibi you want to be drawn ^_^


For every $10, an artist will draw one completely Custom Chibi to your likings, this includes OC's, Fanart, and what have you....or whatever is in the artist's know-how. SO if you donate $10, that's one chibi, donate $40, you have four Chibis coming at you from various artists.

Lastly, all those who have donated will be placed in the footer of this journal to let it show to all who read, who has given so kindly.








CALLING ALL ARTISTS
If you would like to offer your services freely for this event, please contact  via note. Every artist will be asked to place the same Journal on their front page, each with the corresponding avatars of all artistic-volunteers for the entire two week time span. (Just the top part and Donator section^^) If at any time you feel you can no longer keep up with the event, just let either  or know via note and you're avatar will be removed. Even if it's just a few days, we do thank you very much for the effort you bring and put forth. Every little bit helps.
